Couple PR's

A few days ago I hit a couple PR's.

5 Rep Shoulder Press
190 (PR)

My time

Then yesterday I hit another one.  The day started with some conditioning though.

12 Bar-Facing Burpee

Max Thruster
worked up by 10# til Failure

Then I went right into Regional WOD 11.3.  I was beat up and it showed.

My posterior was shot from the last few days.  I ended the Day with a Team WOD that had Wall Climbs, Lunges, Sprints, and HRPU.  Good day.  Get Better!

Competition This Weekend

I had a Comp on Saturday at CrossFit Michiana.  This was a couples Comp and a lot of Fun.  My partner was Tara Olson and she did an awesome job.  The WODs were not to tough of volume intense for myself but she was able to keep up and surprised the heck out of me so GREAT JOB to her!

Here are the WODs:

8 Min AMRAP (Men complete Rd, then Women, alternating....)
6 Box Jumps 24"
6 Lateral Bar Burpees
6 Thrusters 95/65#

WOD 2:
12 Min AMRAP
Buy in was about 1:30 of lunges and buddy carry

We got through 12 T2B in Rd 2.

WOD 3:
3 Min Max Snatch 135/85#
4 Min Tabata Sit Ups (alternating people)
3 Min Max OHS 135/85#

Our scores
49 - 108 - 61

Tara struggle with the Snatch but was able to get around 15-20 OHS.

The final was:
100 Air Squats while partner holds 145/105#
(each had to complete 100 AS's to advance)
then 2 Rds
120 ft prowler push 160/250#
2 Rope Climbs

Tara did really well on this one and we ended up taking 1st place overall.  Fun day.  I also recently became sponsored by Progenex and reall like the Recovery as well as the Force they are releasing next month.  I have never taken a Pre-Workout so I am not sure how to compare it but so far I like it a lot.  Recommend Both.  I am also cleaning up my diet with Regionals nearing and will be posting more information on that.  Get Better!!

The open is Coming!

I have been sitting back and training hard,  I figured after the lay off from posting I would jump back on with the competition season building up steam.  I was able to hit a PR on my deadlift yesterday

This is beginning to not be as big of a weakness as it used to be for me.


I also recently got a Shoulder to Overhead PR not to long ago, as well as a clean & Jerk PR and a Clean PR a few weeks back.  Things are going well and I am getting excited for Regionals on June 7-9th.


I have a Comp this Saturday (a team one) so took it easy so far today.  I did Main Site which I was distoyed by Panchick at.

Then I Power Snatched and got a PR at 245#.  Not the prettiest but it was good.  After that I worked on MU's with some light snatches at 135.  Nothing special just some EMOTM.  I plan to some burpees tonight and some mobility.
